In late 2008 we were asked to come in and check out a tavern with some unique history. The claims were of voices in the bathroom when nobody else was in the building, employees being uneasy in the basement, and some flat out refusing to go up to what use to be apartments, but was now used as storage. The history of the building included a now closed off underground railroad tunnel and a reported murder suicide in the former apartment. We brought in a team of six and covered the building from top to bottom with our equipment. We had a few personal experiences throughout the night including: Chandra seeing a hand appear in front of her face near the Underground Railroad entrance. The only other person in the basement with her at the time was Eugene and he was not near her. At one point during the night Tony and Eugene were asking questions in the now boarded up storage area. They seemed to get a response with a knock, but it wasn't conclusive enough to provide as evidence. The best personal experience happened later that night when Tim and Todd were in the storage area and had a very big black mass appear as they were asking questions about the murder that took place there. The strange thing was it only appeared to Tim. Todd who was standing only 10 feet away could not see it. At the end of the night we ended up with zero in the way of evidence, but did take away some valuable experience from that night.
