Fox Cities Paranormal Team was called in to help a close friend of one of our team members who was experiencing activity in her home. Some of the claims in the home included hearing a man's voice, seeing dark shadows move about, uneasy feeling in the basement and seeing the basement window curtain being pulled back as if someone were looking out. Amy, Cassie and Sharon were present for this investigation. All 4 DVR cameras were set up, and 4 audio recorders were used. A complete EMF sweep was done with no abnormal readings. We began doing an EVP session in the office (formerly a bedroom) and as we were asking questions, through the open doorway, Amy saw a man walk through the living room. This man was solid black and had no features, your typical shadow person. We had a motion activation, IR still camera (Trail Cam) pointed exactly where this figure was spotted. Unfortunately, it never triggered the motion activation so no picture was snapped. The night continued on without any other personal experiences. We did notice a lot of shadow and light play in the basement and went to work debunking them. We discovered that the lights from passing cars half a block away were bouncing off a van parked next door and then that light was reflected through the basement window that overlooks the alley. We were not able to debunk why the curtain in the basement would pull back, and we weren't able to witness this for ourselves. Upon reviewing our audio, we did find 2 EVPs of significance. The first one was captured at the beginning of the night, while we were still busy setting up for the investigation. It is very faint, but it is a man saying "Owww". (As if he had hurt himself). The second EVP we captured was at the very end of the night and is probably the loudest, clearest EVP we have captured to date. It is a man saying "Owww" again. We have provided that EVP for you to listen to. You will hear Cassie say "light" as she flipped on the light switch followed by one of us whispering "Awesome" and Sharon whispering "Owww" (most likely because the light hurt her eyes after sitting in darkness for hours). And then a man says "Owww". This is especially interesting because there were no men present for this investigation. Whether this "Owww… was residual or intelligent is unknown to us, but we are leaning towards it being residual in nature.
